🔥 FAVO Pizza Ovens – FAQs

1. How hot does the FAVO oven get?

The FAVO oven is designed to reach temperatures of 450–500°C, perfect for Neapolitan-style pizza in just 60–90 seconds.

1. Why are my pizzas burning?

This usually means your dough contains sugar, honey, oil, or milk ingredients that burn quickly at high heat. 
👉 The fix: Use a simple dough made with just 00 flour, water, yeast, and salt. Our FAVO Dough Recipe  is designed specifically for high-heat cooking and won’t burn.

3. What fuel does it use?

Our FAVO ovens are powered by propane gas, making them easy to light, control, and clean — no wood required or ash produced.

4. What size pizzas can I cook?

The FAVO 17 is ideal for pizzas up to 16 inches, while the FAVO 12 handles pizzas up to 12 inches.

5. How long does it take to heat up?

Your oven will be ready to cook in around 15–20 minutes, depending on conditions and gas output.

6. Can I use it indoors?

No — FAVO ovens are for outdoor use only. Always place on a heat-resistant surface with proper ventilation.

7. Does the stone rotate?

Yes! The FAVO features a rotating pizza stone for even cooking without needing to manually turn the pizza. Just push the button! Stop the rotation for launching and retrieving pizzas.

8. How do I clean the oven?

Simply burn off any food residue with high heat. The outer body can be wiped down with a damp cloth when cool. Brush the pizza stone with a soft bristled brush if desired and avoid using harsh chemicals.

9. What’s included with the oven?

Each oven comes with a rotating stone, gas regulator, and instruction manual. You will need to supply and fit 4 x AA batteries for the rotation motor. Accessories sold separately.

1. What’s the difference between the bamboo and metal peels?

  • Bamboo Peel: Great for making your pizza on, and launching your pizza into the oven, the wood prevents sticking. Slice and serve your pizza on your bamboo peel.

  • Metal Peel: Ideal for launching and retrieving pizzas thanks to its perforated, non-stick surface.

2. What size are the peels?

  • Bamboo Peel: 35cm wide

  • Metal Peel: 35 cm wide x 29.5 cm long blade with a 47 cm full length handle

3. Is the carry bag padded?

Yes! The FAVO carry bag is fully padded and made from heavy-duty fabric to protect your oven during transport and storage.

4. Can I leave the oven in the bag outdoors?

The bag is weather-resistant, but we recommend storing it in a covered, dry area when not in use.

5. What tools do I need to start cooking?

We recommend:

  • Bamboo peel for pizza creation, launching and serving

  • Metal peel for launching and retrieving 

  • Cutter for slicing

  • Table for setup and prep

  • Carry bag for storage or travel

6. Does the table come assembled?

The FAVO table requires minimal assembly with easy instructions included. It’s ready to go in minutes - you will need a Phillips head screwdriver or battery driver
